Sometimes helping a child overcome a disability is like piecing together a quilt. Here is an example of how little steps and persistence can create a "pattern" for success.
I am a school social worker for both the Blue Ridge and Ridgeview school districts. The part of my job that I most enjoy at this point is building personal relationships with both the parents and community organizations. These are the people who are working so hard to support the children with whom I work. My main objective is to work collectively with all school staff to create a positive environment where all children feel comfortable and confident.
