Parent & Community Resources

Parents and community members are encouraged to learn about special education by asking questions of school personnel or by participating in workshops sponsored by their local school districts, Tri-County, and/or the Heart of Illinois Low Incidence Association (HILIA).  Representatives of parent or community groups may also request that special education information be presented directly to their members.  Linked to this page are resources designed specifically for parents of children who have disabilities.  Special attention is given to the Parent Mentor Project, led by Geri Mollohan in Logan County.  Parents and community members are encouraged to contact Geri at Tri-County's Lincoln office.
